Frequently asked questions

How do I set up the shot timer?

Open the app and navigate to the Timer tab. You can configure start delay, par time, and sensitivity from the settings panel. The microphone requires permission on first use.

Can I record video and use the timer at the same time?

Yes — Reshoot is designed to run both simultaneously. Start a recording session from the Video tab and the timer will run in parallel.

How do I review slow-motion footage?

After recording a run, open the clip in the Review tab. Use the scrubber to step through frames or set the playback speed to 0.25×, 0.5×, or 1×.

Where is my data stored?

All your session data and video recordings are stored locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers unless you explicitly export a file.

The timer isn't picking up shots — what should I check?

Make sure microphone permission is enabled in iOS Settings → Privacy → Microphone. Try increasing the sensitivity slider in the Timer settings, and reduce background noise if possible.
